VoIP, which stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol, is a relatively new technology that allows people to talk with each other through the use of their internet connection rather than a conventional telephone line.
Quality
The quality does not suffer at all in a good VoIP connection and even long distance calls are able to maintain the same high quality that a customer has come to expect from their current phone provider.
Major Advantages
Cost: Calls between VoIP phones can be free. Although you still pay for calls to normal phone numbers you tend to pay less. Calls between your own offices across the country and abroad can all be free. As calls to other VoIP users can be free, your call costs are also likely to go down as more people sign up for VoIP.
Manageability: Your office branches or home workers can all be set up as extensions to a single number with the ability to route calls between themselves. Customers would be unaware that employees aren't all in one central office location. You also have the ability to choose your own area code which means your customers will be charged for a local call, even if your office is in a different town or abroad.
Features: Features that typically cost extra with normal phones are bundled with VoIP. These features include Voice Mail, Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Caller ID, Call Block, Call Return and Do Not Disturb.
Freeway Projects install and set up VoIP systems. Please note that this is a developing area for Freeway Projects and so we would need reasonable lead times to install systems.
